Working as a journalist with the filmmakers of the movie What the BLEEP Do We Know!? I have had the great good fortune to talk with many leaders in the Global Transformation Movement like Deepak Chopra and David Simon, John Hagelin, Neale Donald Walsch, Barbara Marx Hubbard and many others.

As I reported on different organizations’ efforts, I was surprised how little information sharing there was even between groups with a similar focus. Marianne Williamson’s Peace Alliance, for example, had no interface with John Hagelin and the Peace Government. Neither were aware of the enormous international peace efforts of the Oneness Movement based in Chennai, India. What if they were kept informed of one another?

And what about the millions of people around the world who urgently feel the need to develop a more sanely balanced way of living? How do they learn about other individuals forging new and sustainable methodologies in science, economics, health, social services, alternative energy, education, agriculture, business and the arts?

There are systems that work. Miracles do occur everyday. Inspiration is out there. But to be uplifted, and to be effective in creating a world defined by ecological balance, sustainability, innovation, profound health, and respect for the people of all nations, we need to know about each other and the developments already underway that are fostering these goals.

The Global Intelligencer is one small piece of the puzzle. Its mission is to serve as an information clearinghouse for topics concerning individual, social and global transformation, making it available on a monthly basis to a maximum number of people worldwide.
